Zuccotti Park in NYC renamed Liberty Plaza by current inhabitants

Two days after Constitution Day in the United States, American citizens continue to occupy a section of New York City for peaceful protests and assemblies.

Zuccotti Park in New York City has been renamed by the current inhabitants since “The Day of Rage” began on September 17th 2011 (Constitution Day).

This Assembly of peaceful protesters currently occupying lower Manhattan plan to March on Wall Street this morning, there is a Live Streaming Feed Here while bloggers and independent journalists focus on the event bringing it to public attention.

According to a statement on the Occupy Wall Street website,  the movement represents anger over what they call the principle of “profit over and above all else” and “the one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%,” the statement said.

They vowed to “occupy Wall Street” and to “bring justice to the bankers”, but the New York police thwarted their efforts temporarily last night, locking down the symbolic street with barricades and checkpoints.

Undeterred, protesters walked laps around the area before holding a people’s assembly and setting up a semi-permanent protest encampment in a park on Liberty Street, a stone’s throw from Wall Street and a block from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Over the weekend evidently the MSM and Corporate news outlets have either been very biased or simply bored with the 50,000 American protesters renaming Zuccotti Park to Liberty Plaza, NYC Pizza shops naming speciality pizza’s “Occupy Wall Street Specials” and selling them by the hundred. When the American protesters tweeted to the world that they were hungry, a nearby pizzeria received $2,800 in orders for delivery in a single hour.

Meanwhile, as the political talking heads talk on television, the protests in New York City are being LIVE Streaming Global Revolution, with Twitter and other social networks, blogs, word of mouth etc being used to spread information and news about the Global Revolution beginning in NYC focusing on protests against corporations, bankers and the banks.

DUI stop .. this hits home for me

… it’s nice to know we are non – violent drunks. I too was charged with DUI only I had alot more to say and only .209. The Police for my DUI wasn’t as nice and definitely didn’t tell the truth on the reports. I liked his “what’s the legal limit on not hurting anybody”. Sooo true. Ron Paul 2012 !!

American Protesters #OccupyWallStreet to spark a non-violent “Global Revolution” beginning in Manhattan NYC.

According to the #OccupyWallStreet Website beginning on Constitution Day September 17th 2011, 20,000 people are requested to set up camp, kitchens, beds, make primitive homage and create peaceful barricades in lower Manhattan for an undetermined amount of time.

The website mentions the Arab Spring – brother and sisters in Spain, Iceland, Greece and Egypt who managed to create a non-violent mass occupation to bring about change in their government. On the website they specifically say “to restore democracy in America”. Hummm I question this quotation because America isn’t a Democracy, we are a Republic. But that aside …

#OccupyWallStreet is a leaderless resistance movement with one thing in common ” We are the 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1% “.

The original promotion to #OccupyWallStreet was by AdBusters in July 2011, since then many of people got together to organize, some of those people include New York City General Assembly and US Day of Rage.

There is another event planned October 2011 in Washington DC @ the Freedom Plaza.
